We are delighted to announce that we will be organising a series of UK based training weekends in 2018 in the stunning setting of the Forest of Dean. Based at the Dean Field Studies Centre we will be delivering an action packed weekend of training, talks and fun alongside our partners CEP Compression, our top team of coaches and some special guests! The first camp will take place on 5th - 7th January 2018!

With huge experience of delivering training camps for runners from beginners through to elites we know these weekends and will be accessible, fun and relevant for runners of all abilities.

The weekend will be led by the RunningwithUs team, Nick Anderson, Tom Craggs, Mel Wilkins and Siobhan Rootes. With huge experience as coaches and athletes we have worked with runners, cyclists and triathletes from beginner throughout to elites in major international championship competitions. We have any years of experience delivering fantastic European training camps alongside our partners, 2:09 Events and we will be joined by some top athletes and industry experts to give your their tips and advice on getting the most from your training and racing.

Our location will be the Dean Field Studies Centre. Nestled in the beautiful Forest of Dean the Study Centre provides simple accommodation in group dorm rooms with newly updated shower and kitchen facilities - perfect for this relaxed, fun and informal camp. It's just the kind of place elite athletes around the world base themselves for their camps. The local town as great pubs and shops for all the provisions you'll need....but food will be provided!

The Programme

We want these weekends to be challenging, fun and motivating for all runners, regardless of ability. Therefore the programme is can do it all...or you can pick and chose the right mix for you.

Arriving on Friday from 6pm we'll all meet for a group meal at 8pm followed by an official camp welcome and introductions. 

Saturday morning for the earlier risers there will be an early pre breakfast run at 7:30 followed by breakfast at 8. After breakfast we will hold the first of our group coaching talks and Q&A sessions before having the option of a threshold/tempo run at 11:00. After lunch we will have an interactive session with some of our special guests before a hill session followed by group stretching and conditioning session later in the afternoon. In the evening we will hold a talk on nutrition and recovery with some light hearted competitions followed by an evening meal. Some will head to bed after...some to the pub!

A later start on Sunday morning allows everyone to have breakfast and further opportunities to chat with our coaches, elite athletes and industry experts before we offer a range of long run options form mid morning onwards. A final Q&A after lunch closes the camp!

Dates, Costs and Booking Information

Camp 1: January ​5th - 7th 2018

Cost: £230 per person to include all accommodation, food and coaching through the weekend as well as £60 worth of CEP compression kit! Deposit of £99 is required on booking with full payment before the start of the camp. After the 1st of December for Camp 1 payments made are non refundable but can be transferred to another runner.
