We are thrilled to announce we will be returning for our training camp in 2024. Based at the 4* Victoria Sport and Beach Hotel in Falesia the camp will be the perfect opportunity to learn about training, recovery, racing and prepare for those key spring races.
RunningwithUs have years of experience of delivering camps for runners of all abilities. We will have runners of all standards training with us in March - the common theme will be the desire to improve and to spend time with a positive and supportive group of coaches and runners.
We will be covering everything you could want to know about training, nutrition, recovery, conditioning and running technique. The camp includes;
Running sessions suitable for all abilities from beautiful runs on the cliffs, beach and orange groves to hill sessions, track sessions and threshold running
Core and strength & conditioning to give you a routine to take away and implement in your own training
Group training talks and 1-2-1 coaching/training reviews covering the fundamentals of training, racing and psychology, nutrition and recovery
Top tips on technique, drills and biomechanics
Stretching and injury prevention advice
For a small additional fee we will have a top class sports massage service available
The Hotel and Location
There is a good reason why many of the worlds best athletes come to the Algarve to train. The beautiful beaches, incredible trails over the cliffs and through the orange groves and the ease of travel and lifestyle make it the perfect location to balance hard training with a perfect break. The newly renovated Victoria Sport and Beach Hotel is 4* accommodation with an onsite track and gym, pool and fantastic food. The apartment style rooms include a small kitchen facility which makes it easy for those who prefer to cook their own meals whilst away. Prices and Booking
The prices below include accommodation with breakfast and all training sessions and coaching. Participants book their own flights from the UK to Faro, we can provide details of transfer and hire car options. The coaching fee covers 10 days of coaching and is the same regardless of how may nights you stay.

Great things to talk about Running with Us Camp
1.- After the two years pandemic, I was determined to experience a running camp and did the research that led to “Running with Us” camp. They make easy and friendly to get onboard and helpful while getting everything organize.
2.- My goal for this camp was to get insights about my training and trying to find weaknesses and learn how to tackle them while improving my training patterns. And that was achieve thanks to the brilliant coaches and their expertise. By chatting with them I could learn about how to improve those patterns, covering a wide aspect of running, including recovering, Strength & Conditioning, physiology, Core and tight all together with the daily running and sessions throughout the camp.
3.- We all know that runners do not like Stretching, mobility and anything that is not running, however this camp offers workshops about mobility, S&C, drills, plyometrics and core. Those turned out to be especially useful and helped me to start adding them on my routine a stop trying to avoid them.
4.- The camp also offers good talks given by the coaches about Injury Prevention, Sport Psychology, Sports Physiology which helped me understand and learn the various aspects of training as an athlete and how the impact my improvement.
5.- And of course the bread and butter of all runners, every day training was well organised. Running through the beautiful Albufeira in Algarve where you can run around the stunning Orange Groves or through the beach or even around the cliffs. Sessions were also specific to each runner’s goal, no matter the distance or the race type for which they are preparing. Overall, the set up in the Algarve is gorgeous.
6.- Finally.… the lads on the camp were friendly and helpful and had a great craic with them. I am looking forward to coming back next year for another great camp!

'Great running holiday, and I would recommend it for all ages and abilities. The scenery is great for running (orange groves & along the clifftop), and the weather in March is ideal for running. I had a fantastic week. The camp was attended by a wide range of abilities, from charity runners such as myself, up to internationally competing athletes, yet the camp caters for all with coaches available to talk about all aspects of training from strength and conditioning regimes to nutrition. Everyone was friendly and the hotel is only a five minute walk from the beach to watch the gorgeous sunset. Would definitely recommend this running holiday! 😊 - Jon, March 2020
“The Running with Us Algarve trip always helps me to re-focus on training during my peak phase of marathon prep; It’s the perfect mix between quality sessions and plenty of recovery time during the day.
The hotel is in a beautiful location, with the choice of quiet roads, track, trail and beach running all on the doorstep.
It’s always a really friendly, social group of runners, making the evening meals and recovery time good fun.
Away from the distractions of busy work life, I can check in on all aspects training, including nutrition and conditioning, meaning I always leave feeling refreshed and with a renewed confidence for upcoming races.

I was very lucky to be able to take part in the Runningwithus training camp in Portugal just before the UK went into lockdown. The camp was a really brilliant experience. I was really nervous going - I suffer from a bit of anxiety and after a string of injuries wasn’t exactly race fit. That didn’t matter - Siobhan, Nick and the team made sure that I was looked after and I was encouraged to take part. Going into the camp I’d struggled with 5K - while I was there I did my first 10K in a year and it has shown me I’m 100% capable of more than I thought I was. Two months post camp and I’m the fittest I’ve been in about two years - I’m consistent with my training and I can see that I’m making small gains all the time. I really hope that I’ll be able to come back to the 2021 training camp - Melanie, March 2020
