I think the London last weekend may have been the last race I do in the ASICS Tarthers. For some reason in the last few months I have been getting nasty blisters when running in them and I think maybe it is now time for a change. Has anyone here got any suggestions for some racing shoes that I could try?

    All advice welcome!

    Hi Simon,
I ran London in a pair of Adidas Aegis. These are lightweight and quite tight fitting – as with all adidas I have to wear a size larger than I would normally. I have found these to be great shoes and in marathon buildups often wear these on longer runs as well – especially when it involves running marathon pace. I got mine through Toby at Alton Sports.

Hi Simon, I agree with Matt. I would definitely look at the Saucony Pro Grid Mirage for half and full marathons and the fast twitch for 5k/10k. Don’t forget, you will need some super light shoes for those track 3k’s old boy………….
The adidas shoes Matt mentioned would also work well. Definitely worth chatting to Toby for best deals and options mate.

Simon I love my Adizero Adios and work for me from 5k right up to marathon. I also use the Adizero Pro’s for shorter races but I don’t find them quite as responsive as the Adios. I enjoy running in Saucony A2s and prtevious Brooks t5s as well mate – I found I could easily cover marathon distances in both but you may want a bit more support.
